In 2021, The Summit at Big Bend began renovation of two man-made mining caves, located halfway to the summit of the Tres Cuevas Mountain in Terlingua, Texas, turning them into luxurious mountain retreats!
These unique caves feature modern luxuries in a natural, historic setting with incredible views, and are the only cave hotel suites in the State of Texas.
The caves are furnished with plush king size beds, double rain-head showers for two, and private commodes. They come equipped with kitchenettes including a sink, mini fridge, and coffee maker.

SUMMIT
DOMES

Our spacious 20FT domes sleep up to 4 people (3 adults or 2 adults, 2 kids) via a plush king size bed and a sleeper sofa. Each are equipped with air conditioning, heat, coffee-maker, mini-fridge, and an outdoor fire pit (grills are not provided).
A perfect place to relax in comfort after a long day on the trails!
Each Dome in the Valley has parking near their individual dome. The Valley has a shared bathhouse equipped with flushing toilets, hot water, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. We also provide all linens, pillows, and towels. Enjoy glamping like never before at our desert oasis! (Some decor and views will vary).
*These are NOT stargazing accommodations. Summit Domes only have the large bay window, no clear top.
